About gkhouses
gkhouses was founded in 2008 when Matthew Whitaker couldn't find the kind of property management company he wanted to manage his 30 houses.
Since that time, gkhouses has grown from those 30 houses to over 1,300 occupied houses in Birmingham, Nashville, and Chattanooga.
The gkhouses reputation for excellence is mostly responsible for the tremendous growth.
During the time between 2008 and 2017, the gkhouses team has grown as well. From three to almost 30 team members dedicated to providing owners the best property management experience around.
What’s the secret to our success? We attribute it to an incredible team and a thriving company culture.
Our company culture influences everything about how we do business with our owners and tenants. It’s also the basis for which we hire new employees. Having competent job qualifications is, of course, important, but embracing the gkhouses core values is what matters first.

Master Plumber
We are looking for a dedicated individual, to work for a growing property management company in the Chattanooga area.
Duties: Manage your own schedule within a set time frame. Will handle rehabs, maintenance calls for tenants, etc. Needs to be able to do anything under the sun from framing, general electrical/plumbing repairs.

Minimum Requirements:
- Must have your own tools
- Must be able to pass background check (DUI and or any convictions) and drug screening
- Must be presentable and able to communicate and interact with tenants
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED Required
- Minimum of 4 years experience including hands on training or plumbing work is required
- Master Plumber license required
- Must have and maintain valid driver's license
- Capable of plumbing techniques such as soldering, pipe threading, drain cleaning, fixture installation, gas leak testing and repair.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $20.00 to $25.00 /hour

Master Rehabber/Handyman
We are looking for a dedicated individual, to work for a growing property management company in the Chattanooga area. This person will drive a company provided vehicle and use a company provided iPhone or iPad.
Duties: Manage your own schedule within a set time frame. Will handle rehabs, maintenance calls for tenants, etc. Needs to be able to do anything under the sun from framing, general electrical/plumbing repairs.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have to have your own tools! If you don't have a miter saw this job is probably not for you.
- Must be able to pass background check (DUI and or any convictions) and drug screening
- Must be over 21
- Must be presentable and able to communicate and interact with tenants
Required experience:
- Maintenance or
- 3 years Repair

Salary: $18.00 to $22.00 /hour
